Why you need a business plan.
Working through the plan forces you to look at each area of your business. This is more than simply an essential checklist because it helps you develop each facet of business that is required. As a bonus it covers areas that may easily have been overlooked yet critical to get right from the start. It takes you on a journey inside your business and reflects the day to day operations in a virtual style.
The uses for a business plan commonly fall into one or more of the following categories;
- Determine the commercial viability of your concept
- Support for seeking finance or investment stakeholders
- Blueprint for the future direction of the business
- Self-assessment of understanding of each element of the proposed business
